When can I register?

You can sign up today until the day of the walk at You can also register at the event -- just head to the registration tent when you arrive. Or contact and we can set up a registration for you.

Can I Volunteer?

Yes, please! We would love to have you, please email with the Subject Line "I Volunteer!" and we will contact you. We will rely on volunteers for set up, registrations, running booths, and clean up.

Does it cost anything?

No. IT IS FREE. There is no registration fee, but we encourage everyone to raise at least $100. We encourage all teams to have a Team Goal and encourage each other to exceed it! We will also have prizes for top fundraising teams, top individuals, most unique donors, etc. And who doesn't love a little competition, especially between friends!

Where is the start of the walk and where do I park?

The walk will start at Ann Morrison Park's Old Timer's Shelter. It will go along the greenbelt for 1.5 miles each direction (3 miles total), then turn back around to funnel back to the party at the Resource Fair in the main staging area. You may park in any of the park locations, downtown parking or may choose to carpool with your fellow teammates to have less chaos and more fun car dancing on your way to the Walk.

Do I have to have a team?

No, you can walk by yourself, have a couple of friends each sign up as an individual, or join our NAMI TV team! We would love to have you!

When should I arrive and what should I do when I get there?

Check in starts at 8am. The walk starts at 10 am. If you are with a team, check with your team captain about where you want to meet as a group, and then your team captain can head to the registration tent to collect walker bags. If you are walking as an individual, head to the registration tent to collect your walker bag and turn in any registration forms or donations you still have. Then enjoy the entertainment until the Walk kicks off at 10 am.

Should we dress up? Is there a dress code?

Your dress code is fun! We want to have teams and individuals looking their best with shirts, tutus and face paint, etc. We also would love to see signs of hope, encouragement and strength for others on the journey with you and to remember those who still continue to fight the battle against mental illness.

Where are the bathrooms?

Bathrooms are located near the Old Timers Shelter and we will also have portable restrooms along the route.

Will there be first aid?

Yes, there will be a first aid tent. They will have many services for all needs from physical to emotional. This location will also have resources for panic attacks and anxiety issues. (We want all people to join and please feel welcome to join even if you are nervous).

Will there be activities for kids?

Yes! We will have a sign/art booth, face painters, balloon artists, etc.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Please bring your leash, water bowl, and waste bags. HUMANS MUST be leased at all times, and you will be responsible for minding your human's behavior while you have them on the leash.

Will there be food?

Yes, before and after the walk, a variety of food vendors/trucks will be present. We would also recommend bringing your wallet for the resource fair following the walk that will not only include local providers and nonprofits, but also vendors, artists, or activities that have products or services you may wish to purchase.

What if it rains?

We will walk rain or shine, although we expect it to be sunny.

Will there be prizes?

Yes! We will have prizes for the top individual fundraiser, the top fundraising team, the team with the best costumes and most creative T-shirts. We will also be giving away prizes on stage.

What will there be to do?

An endless amount of activities! The Resource Fair happening in conjunction with the walk will feature educational opportunities, community conversations and fun for the whole family. There will be live performances, community information booths, food booths and trucks, as well as a supportive atmosphere for all.
