Optum Idaho is a health care company who manages the outpatient benefits for the Idaho Behavioral Health Plan (IBHP) for Idaho Medicaid members and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW). In collaboration with the State of Idaho, it is Optum Idaho’s mission to transform the outpatient mental health and substance use system to help people reach recovery.
Through Optum’s management of outpatient services for IBHP members, individuals are now receiving recovery-based treatments and services based upon scientific research by well-respected organizations like the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the American Psychiatric Association (APA).
Optum Idaho is NOT a mental health or substance use disorder provider. However, we can help you and your family identify a provider to help you with your individual health needs.
If you have questions, please call us at 1.855.202.0973 Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM MST.
